Vegetarian Weight Loss
Silly trivia about me time:
When I was a teenage I declared I was going to be a vegetarian.
I do not recall exactly what I ate and did not eat but I know I did not eat very many veggies. Tell me, how do you be a vegetarian and not eat any veggies? Well i liked my carbs, I liked sweets - a bunch of junk food mostly. So I was basically on a high carb low protein diet. Oh sure, I’d eat a salad once in awhile and I did eat eggs and milk products - but probably my biggest source of protein was Ben & Jerrys ice cream, IN fact, me and my friends lost 10 pounds over one summer on what I called the ice cream diet - we had ice cream twice a day. That was all we ate.
Anyways - if you are a vegetarian and you want to lose weight - the best thing you can do is just make sure you’re not going overboard with the carbs and sweets. Eat all those veggies - don’t eat the crap foods. Carbs are important and you should definitely eat them - but going whole grain makes a big difference.
I’ll continue this a little more next few posts - but the #1 rule for vegetarian weight loss is to not eat sweets and too many carbs. Live up to the name of vegetarian and eat your veggies.
I gotta grab a nap while I can. ![]()
